I went up this way back in 2015 on the exact date and it was raining so I never went up to the ridge. See photo’s in the gallery. I have also gone to Panorama Ridge from Consolation Lakes. http://willski.ca/panorama-ridge/ It would be interesting to complete the whole route with a car shuttle. It does look a bit difficult crossing over from the south section to the north section. http://willski.ca/taylor-lake/ This is the link to get to Taylor lake. From the lake turn right through the campsite and head up to the meadows. This is about 1 km and 120 m elevation gain. In the meadows are two lakes. We went to the right to catch the ridge trail. There was a lot of snow but we eventually found some tracks breaking trail. The first half is mostly in Larch trees and they were just turning unlike the one’s lower down at Taylor Lake. After one tiny rock band the trees vanish and the trail weaves it’s way up and up. A couple of false alarms and you are at the summit of the south ridge. I wondered on a bit further along the ridge to take a look at the next section to go to the north and it was inconclusive need to give it a try. To make a loop and shorted the return we descended down the ridge side to the lake. Lot’s of snow and I managed a bit of bum sliding. In the Meadow, it is then back the same way. Lucky with the weather as the sun came out which has been missing for the past two weeks. Also trying out the new Gaia Ap. So have put both Garmin & Gaia in.
Distance return 20.1 km Time return 7:30hrs ( inc 30 min lunch ) Elevation Accumulated gain 1133 m Elevation to Summit 1110 m Summit height 2575 m
