Little Little Hector Mountain

From the high point of the day the gravel mound of lateral moraine .Hector Glacier

August 13th 2021

I have called this Little Little because we did not go up Little Hector Mountain but just into the upper cirque type valley below it. Just to clarify there is also Mt Hector the glaciated one picture above. Trail starts from Hwy 93 north 20.5 km from Hwy 1 turn off or 3.5 km from Mosquito Creek. Park on the west side pullout and cross the road a track is visible on north side of Hector Creek. Soon cross the creek and come to corduroy log road turn left. Head up through bushes heading towards the waterfall. There is a lower and upper route through this area your choice. Continue on to col and follow trail up through gravel/scree. Then explore to your hearts content or carry on up to one of the Hectors or Mt Andromache. Return same way.
