At the Ships Prow Creek and trail for the Grassi Knob

Friday June 5th 2015

There is no official route up to the Grassi Knob but a worn track up through the moss-covered forest is making the trail easy to find. Start on the east end of Wilson Way in the Peaks of Grassi. Head up the Highline Trail to the east west connector cross a small bridge looking for the trail sign  for the east, west fork. Turn left, east. Cross the Ships Prow Creek and a few steps later a small trail is visible on your right. Dafferns trail description talks about scrambling easy slabs on the creek but the trail now stays in the trees avoiding the slippy wet slabs.
