November 21/22 Tuesday / Wednesday
Day two & three Skiing at Sunshine Village Canada this season and it has started with a bang ” POW “. Tuesday started out in a big blizzard. On the drive up from Canmore and in the parking lot it was snowing so hard the visability was about 25 meters. By the time we got up the Gondola it a had nearly stopped but the powder was now 25 cm deep. There was fresh powder for skiing on all the runs. The best powder is always on Wawa,Standish and Wolverine. The skiing in the powder is always best in the sheltered areas in the Sunshine Village treed areas. Canada, Alberta has the dryest powder in the world.
Wednesday was a totally different day the sky was clear and the temperature was -20C with a bit of a breeze. The glide was awful with the cold temperatures and the Wolverine area has to many flat areas to make it enjoyable. On the plus side the Forget Me Not run out to the Gardens is groomed.
