What to expect at Lake Louise Resort for the Christmas period. A few photos will maybe help you decide where to go skiing this holiday season.Lake Louise is reporting lots of fresh snow but take everything they say with a pinch of salt. Although it was snowing when we left on Tuesday the resort reported 19 cm the next day, that may have included the 9 cm we did not have on the Tuesday. So I would say there is not much to choose between Sunshine and Lake Louise for conditions. Everyone has their favourite place. So go for it. The conditions are still early season in lots of places on the hills. An example is the Rock Garden is not open at Lake Louise and lots of places on Goats Eye are still closed at Sunshine Village.
