Heading off to Pipestone Pass
Mar 14th Thur.The weekly trip out was going to be to the Pipestone Pass at Lake Louise that was until we encountered rain.Temerature in Canmore was -3C as we gained elevation towards L.L. the temperature was rising.The Parks Information Center was advising us to go home the conditions were bad and the snow was to wet to groom.Not wanting to waste our trip we thought why not check out the condtitions at the Chateau Parking Lot.Just as we expected the rain turmed to snow and there was about 9cm of snow in the lot.

Nice looking fresh snow but no grip underfoot even with a soft wax. Geoff and Bill M were right nothing is going to work with this moisture!!!
