Cross Country Skiing Bill Milne Trail

Cross Country Skiing on Bill Milne Trail is a great early season warm up. The trail starts from a pull off just opposite the Ribbon Creek Road on the way up to Kananaskis Delta Lodge. I believe you can also start from the hotel but that would give you an up hill finish. The first part of the trail leads to the Kananaskis river  bridge where you have to remove your skis to walk across the road. From there it winds through the trees to the open valley and continues to the golf course which is about 4km. A nice flat run to warm up the un- used muscle since last winter. The conditions were perfect although it was above freezing  so the red wax picked up all the leaves and cones on the trail. This trail is susceptible to the sun and is often the first to melt in warm conditions.
