Acephale Falls

October 26th 2015

This short hike to Acephale Falls is like the Echo Canyon hike, that I did on the same a day, a hike to climbing walls. That does not make them boring. It just makes a nice short hike to a place of interest that the climbing community have made to great rock walls. The access is from the Heart Creek trail system going east or just park in the ditch on the highway  2 km from the Heart Creek intersection. Look for flagging on a bush and a trail from the road side up through the bush. Turn right and follow the utilities line back to Heart Creek for 100 m before turning left. Follow the trail. At the waterfall carry on past and above onto the wooden planks above the waterfall. The trail ends at the rock face below Heart Mountain. As usual the trail has been washed away by the floods but there is a shovel left by someone if you want to help improve the way.
